These are the simplest fittings to use. These are most commonly used for transmission cooler fittings, oil cooler, catch can or breather lines, vents, etc. Although not recommended, many people successfully use them for fuel line as well. Place the hose in the sun for a little while, or warm with a heat gun to make installation easier. Once installed, the connection is fairly sturdy and clamps are optional. We have push lock clamps available if you’d like the additional security, and many people use them in fuel hose applications. You can also use standard hose clamps available at the auto parts store, use the sizes below when choosing clamps.
