Traxxas delivers pre-release models to reviewers and Youtubers so reviews, unboxing and video content are available on product announcement day. It appears a delivery was stolen or a pre-release reviewer has gone rogue. On 2/23 a Facebook marketplace post was made with the photos below.

Traxxas has been overdue for a cool new release and not just a modified existing model (X-Maxx/XRT Ultimate, Rustler Ultimate, etc.) We’re excited to see a new short course style truck. Traxxas has been trending towards bigger sizes, more power, belted tires and clipless bodies the last couple of years so we’re confident the leaked photos tell us nearly everything we need to know.

What we can see for sure. A variation of the Traxxas MAXX monster truck chassis with the plastic chassis, plastic center spine, split front and rear bulkheads, the large 2085 steering servo from the Traxxas XRT and Traxxas X-MAXX trucks, color coordinated shocks and VXL-6S power. It appears to have the Traxxas 3485 E-Revo/UDR version of the VXL-6S ESC which means it likely has the 2200 KV motor and not the 2000 KV motor from the Traxxas Sledge. *edit* According to the leaked technical specs, it’ll come with the 2000KV motor and 6S ESC right out of the Traxxas Sledge. Judging from the size of known components, this should be a 1/8 scale truck, similar in size to a Traxxas MAXX and Traxxas Sledge. We can clearly see the 4 corner clipless body mounts which is definitly preferred over the MAXX style latch system. It appears to have the Sledge dual battery tray which means two 3S batteries standing on their end. We see the 70+ MPH advertisement on the box and a factory wheelie bar, this is clearly meant to be a ripper right out of the box. From the closeup and advertisement on the box we can also see belted 5.3″ tires, which are larger than the Slash 4.25″ and the Unlimited Desert Racers 6.3″ tires, so expect plenty of traction and stability. The short antenna indicates it has the TQi radio system with bluetooth capability, we can also see a temperature sensor mount on the motor which means it should be factory equipped with telemetry sensors like the Ultimate models, which also means it should come out of the box with the Traxxas 6511 bluetooth module. Looking back at the box, we’re getting new paint schemes in red, blue, green and an RNR (Rock N Roll) verion.
